I'm on NTL and been running a TiVo for a couple of years (bought for peanuts from ebay and seriously upgraded :) ).

When Sky+ becomes as flexible as TiVo, or the Hi Def Sky+ box appears, I'll make the switch. Unless I can get a Hi Def TiVo of course :)

I looked into tivo a while back. I think the only things it offers over sky+ is the ability to rate programs so it will record stuff it thinks you will like. Not having tried this I can't really say whether I would rely on it.

I've heard that Telewest will bring out a pvr set-top box by the end of the year, but those plans might get shelved if they merge with NTL.

Once you have pvr, there's no going back!
