1978 - 79 Suzuki AP50 1979 Honda CB125J 1980 - 81 Honda 250 Superdream 1980 Puch maxi (3 months commuting, when crashed the dream) 1981 - 1986 Suzuki 750 kettle - never broke down, ner ner the knockers!:P in between, borrowed anything my brothers had (3 bruvs)mostly Kwaks, but had small daughter 2000 - 02 Kwak Zephyr 550 2002 - 04 Ducati Monster 750ie 2004 - Monster 1000sie cant list AK's cos would take forever I think................. He is now down to 3 'running legal' bikes at last tho |
35 years and it's hard to remember them all now and in what order and sometimes I had 2 or 3 bikes at the same time, but roughly; '60 Ariel Arrow Super Sports '57 BSA Road Rocket 2 or 3 assorted '50's BSA A10s '55 BSA DB34 Gold Star Tourer '5? Norton Dominator 600 '50 BSA ZB32 Gold Star Clubmans '60 Velocette Viper '58 BSA DBD34 Goldstar Clubmans '37 Norton 500 Manx '55 Ariel VH 350 '76 Ducati 860GTS (The only bike I ever bought brand new) '75 Honda 500F '78 Ducati 900SS '75 Honda SL125 another '75 Honda SL125 '81 Honda CB250RS '79 Moto Guzzi V50II '95 Ducati 900SS '03 Ducati ST4s Youll note that the early ones were nearly all british so I'm well used to getting my hands dirty. My bikeing slowed down a little through the '80s while the kids were growing up but I never stopped, I just kept the bikes a bit longer. |

30 years riding. Last time i did a list of bikes i could remember it was about 70 i think. everything from Honda CB125, CB250, Z250, Superdream. 3 Honda CX 500's 4 BMW's 2 Pan Euro's and numerous other despatch bikes over the last 25 years, (the worst being a Kwak GT550 and a Suzuki GN400, both of which were absolute crap). Sportier bikes as they were at the time CB 750, CB900, GS 750, GS1000, Katana 1100, Kawa GPZ900. Sports Tourers 3 VFR's 3 Triumphs, Firestorm, Yam FJ1200 Big Trail bikes, BM 1100GS. Varadero 20 real dirt bikes. The odd pile of old British scrap. 5 Ducatis ST4, ST4s, Multi, 996SPS, 996R. |
35 years, memorable ones C50 - first road bike ( not technically a moped but plod never noticed) BSA Bantam D3 - first pit heap bike when I was 12 Triumph 500 T100SS - built it myself from bits when i was 16 Kawasaki Mach 111 500 - yeehah, first wheelie machine Honda 400/4 - first bike i could rely on to get me where I wanted to be Crooks Suzuki 500 - bike I lost my licence on :( Laverda 650 Sport - first Italian bike I took to Italy after that it blurs into various Jap IL4's, Gxr's, ZX7/9's with the usual gaps when houses/life etc interfered. |
25 years plus (i'm only 38 tho :frog: ) started on various field bikes FS1E's, AP50's, C50's, C70's and C90's, CB250G5 etc. MT5 - first legal road bike RD125LC CG125 winter hack RD350LC then had a forced break.........me legs got broke!! :rolleye: First Ducati was a 500 Pantah ex-race animal reverted to road use. Ducati 750 Sport then a dizzy moment on a VFR400NC30 another dizzy moment on a ZXR750R then back to Ducati on my current 748BP |

Possible future purchase - New Triumph ST for 2 up Sport touring and Triple Growl or Ducati 888sp4-5. It's only Twins for me from now on, with the exception of the odd triple. Ride Fast, Ride Often, but always Ride Safe! |
