cheers guys,a bit of a split decision on this one then. i was thinking of it as a bit of bling with hopefully improved braking performance, a decent set of wavy's look quite good in my eyes. my front disks are all okay it was just a idea in my head which i wanted advice about. cheers for your link guy i'd forgot about that discussion, the rear dsik does look good and it will be okay with standard calipers and decent pads. i was only going to replace them all round as it works out cheaper with some of the companys if you buy all 3 disks/pads at the same time who would sell a set with dsc discount then ?? If its primarily for looks - go with the braking waveys - if its performance initiated - go for better pads, then a race m/cyl and then waveys. Tim |
Or just lose a stone in weight? :ninja: |
Biggest improvement I made to the braking on mine was by fitting cast iron discs and braided lines. Check out http://www.ferodobraketech.com/ - I'm lusting after a pair of their Axis Ductile Iron discs at the moment! Sorry - I've got no experience of waveys, but thought I'd throw this in as an alternative! :) |
andy ive tried but it just aint working !!!! love my kebabs too much to give them up :lol::lol::lol: how much for a race master cylinder my rear brake has stopped working today for some reason, theres loads of fluid left but the pedals very springy but its not having any effect on stopping the bike. any ideas ?? |
For the master cylinder, it depends on what you go for Brembo Cast £180+Vat (Harris) CNC £280 +Vat (Harris) Plus you need the banjo brake light switch Discacciati CNC £160 inc VAT (www.carpimoto.it) AP Racing CNC £more than the Brembo CNC...... I have this http://www.carpimoto.it/product/Lang...Prod_13787.htm My setup is Discacciati M/Cyl EBC ProLite Turbo discs EBC HH Pads HEL Braided hoses 5.1 Fluid (changed annually) Standard Calipers (Same as yours) |
