The exercise intensity level will also rhelp aise your metabolic rate. If you have a protein shake after exrcise its the best way for the body to assymilate it. Build it up gradually.

Kerry, we have no female experts of any kind on this board.

You are a brave man beancounter.

It is Milton Keynes is it? I can hear the screams....

Diet wise the current fad of the GI diet is a reasonably easy one to live with. It also recommends small but frequent meals as KP's recommended, and appears to be medically accepted (unlike Atkins and a few others).

Also.....since it's the latest and greatest in Heat, Hello etc, it's accepted by the other half with no hassle.

If you want to exercise at the right rate, get a heart rate monitor, you can pick these up really cheap these days, and it's so easy having it beep at you when you're exercising too hard to burn fat.

However, I'm still struggling to flatten the stomach even now down below 11 stone, so I think it's time for aggressive exercise now.....:(

What about fruit ? anything to avoid ?

beancounter 15-Jul-2005 16:15

Fruit's better than chocolate but it's still full of sugar so don't go mad (he says, having munched through about a lb of M&S cherries today !)
