Maybe this will be the impetous Kenny needs now, he can race and be in front of Rossi (for a spell at least)

Ask yourself the question

.. I've got a motorcycle that isn't top ten quality and tyres that aren't top 10 either (unless it rains) What do I do? Do I try and kill myself to get 11th position at the end of the race?

Call me old fashioned but .............

.......... you make a good point.

In his defence tho, he is on garbage GP bike.
I have been questioning Junior's attitude for a while now, but i think he is there for his experience and help development of the bike. He has a wealth of experience.
Would love to see a young brit get his ride though.

So is he on a different bike than Hopper ?

Hoppers results are a lot better than jr's

He's supposed to be a RACER. It's his job to get the bike he's riding around a race track as quickly as possible. If he can't be bothered, give the bike to somebody that can. With all his experience, he should at least be beating his team-mate.

He's in a very privileged position (even on the suzuki). He should be reminded that racing bikes beats working for a living (although I'm sure he's drained enough cash out of the sport for that not to be an issue).

A good ride yesterday though, Bridgestone's or not.

.... that'll explain why Shakey isn't on the rostrum every race - he's clearly not trying hard enough! Sack him

I fail to see the similarity between KRj & Shakey :puzzled:

KRj spends most weekends riding around to collect as much cash as possible before getting the boot/ retiring. Even fellow American Randy Mamola has criticised KRj's lack of motivation/ poor results.

Shakey on the other hand, has spent the past 1.5 years over-riding the Aprillia & now the KTM. I met him last year & believe me, there's probably nobody on the MotoGP grid that appreciates the position they're in more than he does - he was working for a living just a few years ago & there's no way he wants to do that again. I totally believe he's giving 100% all the time which is what racer's are supposed to do (even if that means 15th place on a good day).

Henners 25-Jul-2005 20:18

The point is that KR Jnr is a World Champion, he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone whereas Shakey has to bust his balls to get noticed. The way Kenny Jnr took Barros on the last lap when he had a safe podium place and no hope of the win shows he's a racer - no one would have thanked him if he'd dropped it. Hopper hasn't done much better with the Suzuki this year and Paul Denning admits it's not a top 10 finishing machine currently. He's pushing the thing as hard as anyone can expect at the moment and the Bridgestones aren't helping - ask Ducati :o

Kenny Jnr is fat !

Next time you see him in his garage take a look at his leathers around the chin & neck area and you will see what I mean.

Eating all the pies does add mass to the bike and therefore helps keep the thing pinned to the track in the rain.

You see, it all makes sense now doesn't it !!!
