The strainer is under the plug that is beneath the clutch cover. When that plug has been removed and the oil let loose, you will need a 14mm Allen key to extract the strainer. Its a tubular fine gauze in nylon and about 120mm long and 22mm diameter.

I think the one on Jim's is attached to the bolt head so it's a one piece not two piece version.

Thanks I didn't know about that. So this strainer should be replaced at the same time as the oil and filter?

No, it just needs removing and cleaning with brake cleaner, just check it for swarf as well.

Found it !

It's under the temp. sensor housing nut (21mm) situated just under the clutch casing.

There is also a drain bung directly below it, accessed form underneath.
