What's wrong with the DOC? |
 |
Gobsmacked by all of this :puzzled: :o It's farcical the way this has degenerated, I'm fully behind Dr Dribble on this one. Sorry MT, I'm having a real ****ty time everywhere at the moment and the fact that this forum is getting more hidebound is knocking my confidence in it and, eventually, the "club". I've never been an advocate of having a "visordown" type board but then the Amish type board we're gravitating towards is too much! Take a step back everyone, PLEASE :( [Edited on 31-7-2005 by psychlist] |
This is beginning to irritate me... ... and from talking to several of the other ladies in the club, them too. Or do we not count? Are you happy that women are put off bikes by the attitudes being displayed here? If you want to know where Dibble gets his photos from send him a U2U and then you too can CHOOSE to go and look at them whenever you want. In the meantime, as has been explained, nearly naked women popping up on their screens cause problems for many people. You wouldn't expect your mates to start flashing those very same photos around with your wives and children or colleagues present, so how is OK to do the same on a Ducati club site? |
have the doc got a message board yet what are the alternitives to the dsc board apart from vd |

have you seen the adverts on telly for shampoo/ shower gel by the way i also think it's a bit daft posting those pics on here. but it was a bit of fun the clubs atitude towards some of its members on the other hand seems to be a bit big brother |
Lizzie, i dont think the photos themselves are the problem here, most people appear to be uspest by the censorship that goes on. |
Glyn, I've no idea what TV channels you watch but they sure don't bear any resemblance to any... err mainstream TV ads I've ever seen.... And Rockhopper, censorship wouldn't be necessary if everyone displayed common good manners to their fellow board users. If just one other person reasonably finds something - whether images, language or whatever - unacceptable and/or inappropriate, then the MT have as much a responsibility to that person as they do to whoever initiated the post. And if you read the posts yesterday, plenty of people did find Dibbles posts inappropriate and people may find themselves under threat of disciplinary action at work simply by accessing this site and unintentionally opening the 'wrong' post. It's a thankless task being involved in the MT - whose meeting lasted from 10 - 4.30 yesterday plus a couple of hours travelling either side for those living furthest away, that's long enough without wasting time having to sort out crap like this. |
this has got way to silly now im behind dibble on this one, people know what to expect from dibble in the idle chat section and he was trying to find a solution to his own problems. as has been said before about the tv ads and a point i raised in a deleted thread about the mcn girls, girls at the nec, etc do you parents cover up your childrens eyes ?? nope didnt think so !! carry on dibble i say and post them as links instead if you still feel welcome on here to those that will get into trouble at work for looking at the site why look at when you should be working !!!! there thats my 5 pence's worth said |

It sits on the tool bar all day on my pc, which is quite permissable in my work. I access at coffee & lunch break - and occasionally when I am between things too, also if I am early into work. I am the one that has to deal with reports of misabuse of the internet by staff. What I have unwittingly opened this week - in my break was enough to get me a final warning at work, for unsuitable content. Links fine, direct pics not. C and before I get shot for making the above comment - I havent complained though any official channels here, I made a mental note to NOT open any more posts by my mate Dibs, unless at home now [Edited on 31-7-2005 by CK and AK] |
