North Carolina; I have been riding BMW with drive shaft soooo how often do you have to lubbricate the chain and with what is best and what is the correct tire pressure for the M1000S?:puzzled::burn:

Wurth drylube for your chain mate, tyre pressures I would imagine the norm, 32front 36rear.Stand to be corrected tho.

Now that`s the tedious stuff out of the way I`ll have two pints(Did give you two answers;) ) of downpour and a packet of pork scratchings my American freind.

Yep,a dry chain lube is best, like Wurth or Putoline ceramic (yes really!)
You dont need to apply much lube, just give it a squirt every 250 miles or so.Modern o-ring chains have the links greased and sealed from new and require very little maintainance.Just keep it adjusted correctly,a gentle lube across the rollers and it should be ok for around 10-12k miles.
Its a good idea NOT to over lube the chain as dirt and dust from the road can stick to the lube and act as grinding paste!:o
The chain should also be cleaned from time to time.Use parrafin,(kerosene,to those on the other side of the pond!) and not WD40 as it can damage the o-rings.
