£30 fine(non endorsable so who gives a feck) twice so far..As the fines go straight to the force's coffers I think the threat of confiscation is an empty one as they would be doing themselves out of the income!!!stoopid feckers..

No they don't .....................try the Treasury.
They get the cash.

Actually Andy, it was a "special Constable" I think who was telling him, so who knows!

:rolleye:

Rushjob 09-Sep-2005 19:42

He obviously doesn't!!!
:o

I thought revenue from Fixed penalty stuff went to the local force???

:puzzled:

Rushjob 09-Sep-2005 19:53

Nope.

All fines and fixed penalties from a normal stop by the police go to the Treasury via the Courts.

If you are issued a fixed penalty for speeding by the Camera Safety mob, if you pay the fixed penalty, they get it but if you go to Court the Treasury gets it.

Some of the income from ANPR tickets, for No MOT, No Insurance & No Tax ( I think ) can be used to fund these teams.

Cheers Rushjob,

Bloody confusing this breaking the law lark:D

Means i have to get a new verbal abuse line ready for next time i get pulled with a small plate.

My current one of "Just stick the 30 quid in your pocket mate and save yourself the paperwork" is clearly aimed at the wrong person.

:saint: I think the law in Scotia is different but who gives a feck zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!

Well ...... when I was a kid there was a lad that we were told was "special". Perhaps they are "special" in the same way? :puzzled:

Sadly the speed cameras appeal to the everyday road user..............ANPR fines are generally for the not insured/taxed brigade that are probably allready owing money.

I think the speed penalty returns are in the 80%, anpr ticket returns are around 20% :(

make out of that what you like!
