Thanks guys,
Getting rid of the snatchiness (is that a word) was what I was on about. Guess I'll have to get myself one then.

Hi, you can figure out the consequences of changing sprockets, gears, wheels or revs on:

Hi Colin, what you WILL find is that the 14t front sprocket means you'll be running slightly higher revs for any given road speed. That means it'll feel less snatchy around town at 30 mph, hence the way some of us (me included) described the 14t front making the bike "feel" smoother.
As Dickie quite rightly says, you'll feel as if your bikes been given a new lease of life as the acceleration is improved throughout the rev range, most noticeably at traffic lights

Great chart but this brings me back to my original post on out put ratio:puzzled:

Mike, My 04 monster has 15/48 as standard. Thats what mine has and thats what the user manual says it is.

I think I read somewhere that the gearbox internal ratios are different between the multi and he monnie.

cheers

BTW hello everyone I'm new here.

I'm not exactly shure this is what you are looking for but at the Ducati site , when yuo compare the Mon620 to the MTS 620, all ratio are exactly the same....
Look at the transmission part:

As Jean says above, they are the same at a primary output ratio of 1.85
