I suspect that the data has been taken from year before last's electoral role, at which time we weren't given an option of opting for an edit register. The data which has aleady been sold is out there and it will take years to catch up.
I will be emailing to demand my removal.

Rather scary.

I'm on there and I have taken all the precautions I thought I needed to to hide my whereabouts
( But so is one of the blokes who was after me ) I wondered where he lived now. :D

More scary though is that two of my mates who are serving police officers are also on there - Not a good idea. E-mail on its way to them a.s.a.p.

Been onto the local electoral role people and I am not listed on the edited register and have not been since the old poll tax days. So the source of the info is not from them. So where is it from? Sent an email to B4U on 16/10 and have still not been removed or had a reply. So, how best to proceed now?

The problem is that so many companies sell their address lists to marketing companies and websites such as this.
If you've bought anything by mail order, then the company you used is a potential source of your details.
Similarly magazine subscriptions, even donating money to charity.
The solution is to do what you have done, and repeat the email on a weekly basis for a while using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the page.
I know when I did the TPS application it took 28 days for my number to be logged into their system and the block to become effective.

Rushjob makes some valid points. I am very careful in ensuring that I check the necessary 'do not disclose to third parties' box on all application forms etc.

Will keep resending the email as you suggest.
