On the ST you take the plate off the bottom of the tank and the whole pump, level sender and filter comes out mounted on it. The filter looks like an "inline" affair because it does mount like that, but inside the tank.

Sorry, can't be specific for your bike but it's likely to be very similar.

If you download the parts list its quite obvious how it all goes together. Difficult to explain in words though!

ok its all in bits, excuse my ignorance but I just cannot believe how much stuff is in the tank of my 748, my RG5 just had a fuel tap!

There was a lot of brown gunk in the tank, and the fuel filter was blocked pretty good, should get it back together tomorrow following a good tank cleaning.

I am hoping for some better performance as it was nasty last time I rode it.
