jeez...he paid £125,000...I'm sure the one up the road is £250,000...although to be honest I was too busy dribbling to really count all those zero's!

Both Hammond and May have bikes,

Did you catch the bit where they reckoned Clarkson's current car was an SLGay.

The star in a reasonably priced car was a bit of a hero.

Fifth gear is worth watching from time to time as they occasionaly but a bike up against a car on the circuit at angelsey.

Off to Oulton on the 26th for a 4 wheeled track day.

yeah the 5th gear episode with Kev Smith on k5 gix thou was very good. He (kev S) is class to watch on a bike!:burn:
proper backing it in for the audience:lol: good lad:D

I want to do another 4W track day with mine, but just put some new rear michy's on:sniff:
so will wait for next year now!
Hope to get to bedford, lots exotica there to watch (even carrera GT's and the occasional enzo!)

Might even get to Nurburgring next year (bike and car!) :eureka:

Chillo, if you are coming down to Thurleigh (Bedford Autodrome) let me know-I only live about 13 miles from there. Did a bike trackday there in 2001-the only one they have ever done. The local council there are VERY hot on noise-the cars are louder with tyre noise on corners but of course the mic's are situated on the straights, and connected directly to the council.

The super high performance car market seems to be a fickle place.

Can't stand the fella and I would sooner watch re-runs of "I love Lucy" till my ears bled, but I do like it when May and Hammond take the p1ss out of him.
Interestingly, in his column at the times on line Ford gave the money back the very next day, hmmmmm, someone could learn from their customer feedback skills.

Not sure about Hammond's observation skills tho - he completely misjudged his entry onto the A3 at Guildford one day and nearly punted us into the outside lane. He had to brake hard !!!!

Tonio600 14-Nov-2005 15:24

what's their problem with French cars?

chillo 14-Nov-2005 16:24

Monty,
will let you know when i'm going to head down to Bedford, when i did a day at Elvington this year i was taking 'guests' out with me:lol:
it was mentioned that i like to try hard! but a car/bike aint just for polishing!:burn::P
Should have a few friends in M3CSL and type 25 Impreza to join in the fun.
