QED cables everywhere, pretty good. I was in the sound lounge for about 3 hours trying different amps and speakers etc. I'm pretty happy with the kit and I just want it in my lounge room now!! The first thing I heard I changed around, dropping the Denon amp and the lower end sub etc. I'm really looking forward to getting this stuff setup now! |

Get yourself an SPL meter from Maplins and a copy of AVIA or Digital Video Essentials for the setup. (both audio and video). A camera tripod's also useful but not essential. It's worth the expense and the effort getting it right. Quite often when a setup is carried out by ear, the rear channels are set way too high, and the bass is too low, causing a muddy soundfield. ASF Video calibration is also worth every penny, but you can afford it :) If you don't want to buy the kit just yet, you can borrow mine for a couple of days. |
