Lisburn, Bangor then finished off in Newtownards. Had a bit of a spill going over Craiantlet on my 'Blade, dinted the frame and cracked a few fairing panels, still it was fun;)

As you start to drop down into Belfast there is a lovely right hander then it starts getting built up. Well if you go back up the hill to about 100-150 metres before the right hander, my backend started to fishtail (in the snow :o), then it gripped and I was highsided. All this happened in morning rush hour and I managed to avoid all other cars.

Left Ireland Feb 1999.

998BP vs CBR1000RR

I've experienced the same handling problems on both :o Both slow turning but stable and both stand up if you apply the front brake lent over and try to run straight on - raised rear ride height 12mm.

Both front forks soft on factory settings - increased preload by 20% and compression damping by the same amount.

No problems now :D

i tried everything with it henners, as i said in my u2u. i just couldn't get on with it...maybe it's just my riding ability or lack of it lol

well i got it anyway, it's a bip not an S as i said but i'm happy anyway.... 2002 998bp totally standard with 5000 miles ( 5,500 now lol) so if anyone has a set of termi's or ohlins damper for sale u2u me!

heres a pic of it:D

So did I. Tested it for half a day. What an aweful bike. I hear Honda are changing it's name to the Bland. If that's the only experiance you have of litre jap bikes, don't assume they are all the same and let the Blade/Bland put you off considering a jap in the future. The R1 is by far top of the league in every respect.....................followed by the ZX10R..................

R1 IS KING!:frog: (Love the frog, love it I do)
