You're exceptionally fortunate that currently you can make and change and mould the series to suit the needs of the many... This is very much NOT the case with any other series.
Phoenix are pretty good in the fact they ask riders for input at AGM, but once the rules are there, you're stuffed.

There's no droppping rounds or changing because of this and that... or even 'i want to race at XYZ' you get what you get and you either like it or race somewhere else...

You should indeed count your lucky stars.

**** off!! Bradders makes an excellent point - it's a marquee club series .. not a race club series. ie .. the membership decides (or should!)

If we wanted to race by other rules there are plenty of options open ...

And forgetting the North Glos riders forums quite often held on a Saturday late afternoon at Wroughton, where we did get a chance to put things to the Committee, unless you were off in the Falklands or elsewhere and couldn't attend.

Yes Bradders it is a club series....OUR Club series

A Club series it may well be, but with affiliation to New Era. LEts face it, you really think Bushell can turn up to a New Era board meeting and start dictating to them what 'the club' demands and requires.... Course he can't.

I accept that DD is a Big part of the paddock now at NEra meetings, but they existed before you arrived and if you left, they'd carry on existing.

I know that there are certain things you don't like about decisions on Assen or Cadwell lately. But think back to when the decisions were made on tyres, warmers, capacities (maybe a sore point to SOME)....

You as riders were given the option to mould the club and the series to what YOU wanted...

that's a lot more than most racers get.

And I wouldn't expect that to be able to happen, surely we should get our own house in order before we would even think about asking some other body to seriously consider any request we may choose to make.
And getting our own house in order first rests in our hands, nobody elses !
Also rember DD is only one of this clubs many activities which it would be nice to have as a flagship but at times it attracts attention for the wrong reasons.
I am certainly happy to be part of the series and I am happy with the last draft of the rules as I think they meet the needs of the series.

Did i read somewhere the other day about the lack of response from the last question riased by CB ? forgive me if i'm wrong....

But if that's correct and it's only a select number of the riders who are providing input... then it's as much the riders job to put the house in order as it is the MT.

How many people actually voted on the Cadwell and Assen issues ?

these are issue's for the DD riders and MT to discuss..not really open for board discussion, when the issues only affect the riders.

As it has been said, most are happy with the rules..with a little further discussion between the relevent parties all will be resolved.

The riders give input steve just not always here on the board.
