fil2 03-Jan-2006 10:07

that looks really nice guys........good work by you and tony...

antonye 03-Jan-2006 11:08

Watch that exhaust overhanging the rear wheel - it'll fail scrutineering!

Looks gorgeous though, very well done. Better get my finger out and do something with Triple1 now I suppose!

i doubt that.....mine extended beyond the rear unit by at least another 5 inches and it never failed............................

Grib 03-Jan-2006 12:52

Thanks guys, I'm really pleased with how it looks :)

Ali...I'll do my best to give her a good spanking

Dominic...yeah, I know the bhp ;) Although set-up's not quite right yet, she's a complete b*tch when she's cold and not fuelling great below 5K revs, so might have to sacrifice a bhp or two off the top end to fix it.

Oooh, while you lot are here, which race style fuel filler caps fit them? I can't find any actually listed for a 600SS, but I assume they'll have a standard fitting the same as another bike?

skidlids 03-Jan-2006 13:31

Yep filler cap for 748/916/996 will fit

antonye 03-Jan-2006 13:32

All/any Ducati ones will fit, with the obvious exception of the 999/749/MultiStuker variant. Mine was for a 916/748 from here:

True, I got warned about it (it only just touched out first!) but having changed the gearing the back wheel moved out slightly so it was ok after that. We then had the can cut down slightly, so all was well in the end.

You might just want to be aware of it though, as somebody might put in a protest if you finish in front of them... :D
