I personally know of at least three women who voted for B. Lair because out of all the candidates - he had the best haircut. WRT CK going - looks like all the libs are stood round kicking their feet in the ground and looking down at the dust. No-one wants to take control other than the pensionable Cameroon. |

Is Roger Milla (the ex cameroonian centre forward) in the Lib Dems now ?? :puzzled: [Edited on 9-1-2006 by DIBBLE] |
Does anyone else get the impression taht the lib dems are running the party from a discarded monty python film script. CK: "I do not have a drink problem" ALL: " Sack him, sack him. Burn the witch" CK: "OK, I do have a drink problem, so I'll resign to my garden to sow my seeds across the land like a mad gardener" Exeunt CK Enter Old man in coconut marshmallow outfit. ALL: "Praise him, praise him. He is the Messiah and we shall call him Macaroon" |
Think you need to getter the water board round Alan, there must be something in the water.... Shaun, I used royal mail for your Xmas card, I did want to use a Mcr based courier firm, but I couldn't understand a word the boss said ;) |
Here's something else to thank Emperor Amoeba for : <spits in dirt> http://www.publications.parliament.u...51129-04_head0 It is the transcript of the Lords debate on the government's proposals under the Road Safety Bill to give the state powers to require the surrender of old driving licenses should a new format be introduced. During the Report Stage of the bill on 29th November, the Lords removed this power from the bill, thankfully spotting the government's intentions of forcing drivers to register for an ID card. The Road Safety Bill will get its 3rd Reading in the Lords on 10th January, after which it will go back to the House of Commons where MPs will to accept or reject the Lord's amendments. Read it, and if you're - quite rightly - worried, check out http://mps.no2id.net/ where you can lobby MP's, Lord's members etc. This is no joke - DO IT TODAY. The entire thrust of the ID card argument is flawed. Just as Gatso's are nothing to do with road safety, the ID Card bill is nothing to do with national OR personal security..... |
[quote]Originally posted by BDG Who the hell voted for him last time, nobody ever admits to it, or defends him. quote] Thats the point, not many people did actually vote for him. If you look the voter turnout, approx three quarters of the people eligible to vote in this country did not vote for Blair. |

But it's great that they got the new laws through parliament to make any offence arrestable these days! Just think, you could drop an apple core and be arrested for littering, taken down the station for a quick fall down the steps and then have a DNA sample taken and put on the national register for the rest of your life... but then again, the amend also made it lawful for the police to take DNA samples and fingerprints covertly for "intelligence gathering", so you might be on there already! :rolleye: |
Isn't it interesting in CKs case that his team were all for him until his position became untenable and then they turned on him like a bunch of bloodthirsty curs. Seen it happen time and time again .... |

Depends on how untenable you think it is to like a drink I suppose. Always plenty of people waiting in the wings to do things better but when the chance actually presents itself they often vanish like a puff of smoke..........:D:D |
