male and female sticky back velcro, stick one side to the swingarm, the other to the hugger at a corresponding angle (or leave the tape off while fixed to the male half and press the hugger on), press together and velcro will hold in place |

ok, another dumbass question here: what does it actually do? does it protect the swingarm or is it just for looks, always wondered. |
for me personally it's because i can't get the swingarm clean enough, so it's 100% aesthetic reasons.... The swingarm seems to absorb some of the crap on it.... i wasn't happy with the finish. However i could easily argue the protection too as it 'would' do a job if needed. |
I can testify that they do protect the swingarm from scrapes. However the 2nd hand replacement cover cost more than the 2nd hand swingarm i bought at the same time. |
