Well, it wouldn't start this morning. It would just turn over but it really is struggling. After a chat to Nelly this morning about how the R's seem to work you needa decent battery just to get them started. I didn't have a chance to get the jumper leads out because I had to get to work but it looks like I'll be replacing the battery. I hope Odyssey make one the same physical dimensions as the standard one. The one I put in the 996 had twice the cranking amps of the standard one it replaced wso it would be good to put one of those in the 998R as long as it fits the battery tray! I can tell you for free that 2006 sucks the big one so far - it better improve! |
Tough one TP. An Optimate won't do much in an hour, it's only a trickle charge, may be ok overnight. Have you got a battery charger, or jump leads as said. Whatever, bring emergency kit to Jerez. I'll have my optimate and maybe battery charger if I can fit it in. There is a Ducati place in Cadiz which is not too far. WeeJohnyB |

Thanks mate. It didn't seem to quite have enough current this morning - talking to Nelly seems to bear that out. I'll try jump starting it as soon as I've finished work to male sure it will start. In the meantime I'm looking at battery's and I'll get a new one anyway. Lookout for a new battery thread. |
Suppose it's better than forgetting your keys... Note:- don't forget your keys ok ;) |
