Strange that because my 998r battery is a sealed battery and you cant open them to add fluid.

AND IF you're riding it almost straight away it will be fine. if you're not going to use it for a week, then charge it.... they come 95 percent charged.. a top up wouldn't hurt...

No it's the YT12B-BS for the later bikes, the YB16ALA2 was for the older superbikes - my 2000 996 had one of those before I put the Odyssey in it.

Mine was definitely that because I bought a new one and replaced the dead one.
