I'm well and truly unfit, overweight and still recovering from two serious injuries ... I don't have a bike yet, or any of my protective gear, apart from a back protector!

Other than that everything is peachy!

Everything is starting to line up though, another physio appointment this afternoon ... I'll be fine.

They were not serious fella... minor breaks.... everyday racing things.

Come back when you're femur is in almost 10 pieces, your hand broken in 8, your fingers dislocated and your collar bone snapped in 2....

then.... you've had serious :)

Reading Toselands book currently. He was sitting on the Vimto Honda 4 weeks after breaking both ankles, unable to walk or stand... and was only 3.5 secs off the pace....

Remmeber JR this season... ankle broken in several places... Saw him at Mallory, unable to walk, but out on the bike :)

call me old fashioned but breaking your ankle and not being able to walk probably does count as serious.

Ahhhhh, the mind games already....You're not a serious racer unless you've been really badly smashed up.

In that case that bloke "Christ-on-a-bike" is probably the most serious racer there is - just think, crucified, stabbed with a few spears, died for three days, was resurrected and now has eternal life, can walk on water and his dad can probably pull a few strings as well :P

PS: I don't want any fundamentalist christians setting fire to any embassies or the scrutineers hut because their offended, so I'll apologise for my blasphemy right here

you can be a serious racer without ever having hit the fllor at all....

you can't be Seriously injured snicking a toenail with a pair of clippers though.

No, its ages yet
Haven't even sorted my licence yet, although I do have eye test booked for Thursday and the race van gets MOT'd tomorrow.
Bike still untouched from last year, then again all it needs is fresh fuel, oil and filter change, yellow number boards adding, charge the battery and it will be ready to go.

Fil, don't you think the title should read; DD 2006 Are u mental enough?

Breaking your ankle and not being able to walk for months is not a serious injury? A minor break? A finger or toe is a minor break. Snapping the largest bone in your ankle clean in half is not. Dislocating your shoulder and collarbone and tearing all the cartilage in the front of your shoulder off the bone necessitating having your shoulder screwed back together with 4 titanium screws is not a serious injury!

Guess who is on yet another wind up ... ;)

You certainly talk a good game!

Tony, you're my hero.

Get your boy butch to give me an equal bike to yours and i'll ride rings round you on it too :)

(1 meeting only, i have financial restrictions)

Tony.... wait till you're in racing a few more seasons, you'll know what serious breaks are.... they were not it.
