a carbie monster has much more adjustment for the ride height.

My daughter was able to reach an m900 carbed (at 5ft) with her feet comfortably on the ground both sides. No way could she touch the ground on my 02 750ie (which was the same height as the 620ie)

The 'S' models from the 'ie' range are taller than the std 'ie' ones.

Personally I dont have a prob with the clutch (except when doing town traffic for extended periods - so I avoid it!) - but I am left handed, which makes a big difference.

As Roof says - get the mrs the bike, and just borrow it when she isnt using it!:P

Don't forget if you buy a 600 Monster then you can't do anything to make the clutch lighter.

I'm 5'2" just!... I had a 600 Monster which was easy enough - height, clutch etc.

Now ride a 900SL... which is so much more fun. It's not that it's harder to ride, just very different.

I'd be very careful Allan, how attached to the Superlight are you!

Get her an S2R 800,lightweight clutch lever and 'slipper' style clutch.
A little taller than an older monster but you can get the seat adjusted.

The 620 also has the lighter clutch.

Thanks Peeps. Yahoo
After all your input Mrs R has finally agreed that it may be a good idea after all. So I guess we will be looking for any early carbed 600.
Thanks again.

Really??I guess you mean the later models??(Y2K onwards)
I dont think one is available for the early models with the clutch cylinder and piston built into the casing.

Oh yeah, regarding seat heights,..the older 851(94-02) derived frames are lower than the later ST style frames(02 onwards). My missus is 5'2" and is the proud owner of an '02 M900ie.I think her bike is one of the last 851 type frames. We also took the seat over to Glyn who cut a little foam out so she can get both feet flat on the floor.:)

Spareshack does them for the M600 models for about £80 or so Rockhopper - but this is for the post 97 583 engines.
The isnt anything for the earlier ones - as far as I know tho.

Just had an email back from Stuart at Spareshack.

Basically the M600 pre 1998 has an internal clutch slave cylinder which you can't do anything with. If its got an external one like the 996, 748 etc then you can get an uprated one.
