They did say that it was pretty hard to pass there and there wasn't that much overtaking to be fair, more mistakes than anything else, Corser will be happy with his bike I'm sure whereas Ducati/Bayliss will hopefully have a few questions as to eek some more out of the 999, but he is leading the championship, you don't have to win to win... |
Superb racing, would be great to see Bayliss take the crown back again for Ducati but I have a feeling that the Corser / Suzuki combination is going to be just too good again this year. Anyone got a pic of Bayliss taking his tear-off mid corner !!! - Awesome. |
Probably best he doesn't start the season with a long run of wins. Remember 2002...... |
You could see the extra corner speed that Bayliss had over Corser towards the end of the race and see the horsepower difference down the straight. Once we get to some tracks where you don't have massive straights then the Ducati will be on more even ground so to speak and then I think you'll see Bayliss get some wins. It all bodes very well though, some wicked racing to come. |
Cant find a pic of Bayliss mid corner but, lets be British for a sec...... ![]() Walker leads Barros !!! Nice to be able to write that :D [Edited on 27-2-2006 by Iconic944ss] |
Should have the race recording dropped to me by a mate tonight and looking forward to seeing it. I see Philip Island is on Eurosport 1 next sunday not 2. 1.15 am though... |
did no one notice that in race one Kagayama and Haga pee'd off into the distance ??? get the blinkers off guys, theres more to this championship than Bayliss & Corser ..... |
I thought JT deserved a mention really. Ok - he was gifted race 1 but he rode like a demon to catch the front runners - only rider in the lead group on a 'new to him' bike - good on 'im!!! |
