Cool, can get the supercorsas for £50 per set though! :P:P

Been looking on pirelli's website and they only do 180/55 zr17(i think..) and a need a 170/60...would a 180 slow the steering?
I think ill go for diablos for now(limited budget) don't want to risk getting two different sets to try, maybe later in the year when ive got a few trackdays under me belt and ill have a bit more knowledge on tyres.
I'm also going to do rider training (with a view to trackday instruction i hope in the next few years) so means getting a second bike for road and track and could do without extra rubber burning holes in my wallet.

Why do the best offers always come at the wrong time..?

All advice, very much appreciated. Thanks chaps! :D

Don't fit a 180 mate as it will slow steering up !

I would recomened the Diablo's

I run Corsa front and standard rear with no problems

I see you are struggling for size tho:(

180/55 will be fine, but try to get a 70 ratio for the front as the profile seems to work better for the SS (depending on how your suspension is set up).

I run Diablos on road and race and love them. Not sure I would go with part worns though as you never know how many heat cycles they've been through. Remember supercorsas will be designed to go through less heat cycles than standard diablos before going off.

And I ask myself...why are racers selling them when they want the best in performance/grip...beacuse they are past their best????

With something that includes as many variations as road riding (warm up time/ grip/ weather/road surface etc)...I see no reason to include any guesswork in my choice.

I'm sure others will be along in a mo to say that have had many years of good usage out of part worns...but to me it just makes no sense for road use, over the long term surely it isn't that much cheaper if you only run the part worns for a short while...beyond which you really are taking your life in your own hands????
