There was a lovely looking yellow 748R in the MCN yesterday at the stonking price of (IIRC) £4250. If that's a genuine ad, I'd have his arm off at that price. :)

Plenty of good looking 748s on the market at the moment, also a 748R non Ohlins red bull rep on the MCN site going cheap. As previously said buyers market, don't accept bull&$*t from dealers, they make a tidy enough profit on the bikes. Haggle away, with the market so full of bikes they need your money more than you need their cast offs.
Know what you want, do your research, study the prices and go for it.

well...gonna and bought myself a 1999 v plate 748 bp...in red too! good history and 10k on the clock for 3750 which i thought was reasonable...6mth warranty too. dont get it for another week or so...:( cant wait! thanks for all your advice chaps!
