Sensible maybe, but I see the role of the rep as being one that performs most of their activities between rounds, where they will be representing the views of individual, groups or all riders. I will be concentrating too much on my racing during the race day to be presenting views to the RC. I can collate info, opinions etc, on race days, but if there's too much distraction from the racing, it won't happen on race days. If my expectation of the role is incorrect, then I will withdraw. But I can't see any rider's rep who will be prepared to compromise their racing for the role. As with all these things, there is a balance to be achieved, but if by me not going to Assen it is felt I cannot do the job as well as expected, then I won't put myself forward. Tim |

Best i mention at this point that my intention is not to go to Assen as funds will not allow, I have set a budget for this year in line with what I expect to be able to race a 583 for based on last years experience, hopefully this will mean I don't compromise the other club activities I take part in. Obviously any large influx of monies could alter the situation, but I finished last year with less debt than I started it with which again is my intention this year. Firstly I'm a Club racer, secondly a DSC member, thirdly a DD racer. Isn't it great how I can combine all three through one club. |

I will be at all the rounds as well. But you don't have to vote for me. |
