Think you might regret using a circular saw, like I said, a recip or jigsaw will be much more controllable, believe me I have converted a caravan before.

My makita saw only has a 5" blade, extremely controllable as the saw itself is so light, I've used it the past for anything from cutting hob cut outs in work tops to trimming curved bath panels
