Oh dear oh dear oh dear ( copyright Dibble... ) Start digging here, I'm off for a lie down ;) Oh goody, daylight MOT's again!! |
I think re: numberplates... As long as you have the bike booked in with the frame # logged at the testing station you are allowed to ride it to and from with no worries. I did this prior to applying for the plate for my lambretta. If memory serves, then i think you need a front and back brake activated brake light for bikes from 1983 (ish) onwards. Quote:
Interesting point about the pipes there. Mine is a race can but doesnt say "not for road use" on it anywhere. Does that rule apply for general road riding ? or is that just for to and fro MOT'ing? Cy |

Not only a problem if the accident is your fault, even if someone else causes the accident then you could be held partly liable. For example if they could not see you were slowing down. Legal or not. |
This has been thrashed out in the thread highlighted by Rushjob, above. The new rules on the exhausts are that, while it can't say "not for road use" as always, it will also fail if the examiner thinks it's too loud. this is at their discretion. Coring standard cans was a reason behind this change, as was the eBay BS stickers. |
