The use of warmers on race days can be disputed due to the delays in holding areas. Often the delays on trackdays are less because you can ride out onto the circuit at any time in the session.
Warmers help preserve tyre life due to reduced heat-cooling cycles but, with non-race tyres this is not so important.
Tyre warmers do help you with confidence and by ensuring your tyres have heat in them but, I really don't think it's a big deal with trackdays as you also have to warm more than just tyres anyway. It's not a race so there is no need to go balls out to start with. A few moderately gentle laps sighting should be enough to start getting heat into the tyres before picking up pace.

I raced used Diamond warmers for two years - they are great vfm. Not the most robust or hottest but, then you should look after kit anyway - mine are still like new. On cold days the use of skins is required to help them retain heat.

tyre warmers are ace, onyl used mine the once but made a hell of a difference. tyres are only designed to have a few heat cycles so get them up to temperature and keep them there, in from the session warmers on, warmers off at the last minute :ie as their opening up pit lane then you not sat in the lane waiting letting your tyres go cold

buy a set you wont regret it

Sorry for being thick steve - but do you mean because of the lack of leccy points...?

MotoGP ones are certainly cheap but not heard much good. They may be ok for very occasional use but don't expect to last too long. Diasec are probably the best vfm. And, yes, it's the lack of leccy points, genny required (more than those small 800 W jobbies).

Any feedback on these ? Notice they are half the wattage of the diaomond ones though.
