make it harder to start too if you up the idle...have you tried starting from cold with an open throttle or fast idle on :puzzled::puzzled:

I've been running fast idel on the beast for a while and she always fires up first kick. Pretty certain the TPS will spot this and adjust the brain accordingly.

my sps has never been able to start with the idle pressed in, the engine doesnt turn over quick enough even with a fully charge battery

its a matter of catching it when it sounds like its going to start....also talking to MR today he said if I up the idle it may may it a bit more difficult to get going

Hm, tough one that, looks like I gonna have to design and build an adjustable one that can be brought into play when on the move.

an idea for ya . . .

having fitted longer bars to my 999s - I had to remove the "choke" (LOL) cable as it would NOT now reach where I moved the LH switchgear to.

Never use it anyway and all it does is pull the throttles slightly when activated.

Anyway, I have it cabletied underneath the ignition barrel for now - was thinking of buying a braze on gear selector off a push bike and attaching the cable to this so that if I needed to I could still pull the chokey!!!

The braze on lever (well its band on actually) fits exactly around the frame so I can mount it anywhere within reason - that might just do the job for you!

I was told that if you look carefully at the side of the airbox there is a rubber grommet, if you remove this and put a long screwdriver in you can adjust the idle screw.

I have looked in the past and there is a rubber grommet but I have never looked to see if it works ?

So,whats the benefit of this "fast idle ",then, when,on track,eh ????

:puzzled:

It makes going aroung the slow hairpins smoother, as you can ride round on closed throttle.
