Are you thinking that the owner still has the bike and can't find his keys, or may be away and be unaware that the bike is missing?

Or can't you say?

antonye 26-May-2006 19:14

I think thats it.

That's deffo not a chipped key. So it's not a 800ss/1000ss/749/999 key as far as I can see.

YMFB 26-May-2006 19:37

Its exactlty the same type of key that came with my 2004 ST4, but as its the only Ducati key I have seen I dont know how many other models it fits.

twpd 26-May-2006 19:49

Ahhhh...righto. I made the error of assuming all modern Ducatis since 2003 had the same type of chipped key.

antonye 26-May-2006 19:58

deffo 2000 to 2003 or 4 then.

I guess it's another one of Ducati's "until it runs out" parts bins!

That's older type key mate not imobilser.

andyb 26-May-2006 20:19

ok older type key then, 2000 on....doh!

Yes i believe the owner may not know its gone, or thinks he has mislaid it maybe?

Ducati uk say the key cant be read or read/offer a number that can identify a bike........
