nail head bang on.......one quick lap dont win a race.......................... And its a Trackday with no timing equipment allowed aint it.? |

I never bother with timing on a trackday, it bears little or no relevance to the race and puts you under unnecessary pressure. Turn up and race who is next to you and that's as simple as it gets ;) can't wait to see Clegg take his first win now tho ;) ;) ;) |

My thoughts exactly...BUT do you think it gives you at least an idea of your pace ..a base from which to work..? |
i wasnt bothered about timing as all day i sorting out my lines and braking points and messing with my gearing but for the last sesion i borrowed a lap timer because i thought it would be interesting to see how i did. iv did this track day for two reasons 1) i show up at the track and i get 10 mins to lean it and qualify and end up with a poor position on the grid and as everyone bikes are so evenly matched theres no way you can run with the front runners. 2) when i first started dd i was asking how can i make my bike faster and i lot of you told me to do some track days and this one has helped. the next trick is to do as well as i did yesturday on saturday |
