Forza Italia!!!

..I guess i am the only Italian here on this board!!! come on dibs.... let me hear your voice..!!

Come on ducati lovers you should support Italy after England... not France (are they making nice motorcycles?) !!..
just joking of course... support who you want...
The most important thing is that for the 4th times we got the world cup - only Brazil did better...

Dear Tonio, I know that France played better the second half, but the first half should have a different result.

Finally we have been able to win a penalty shoot out!! 5 of 5 - you become world champion also in this way!!!!

I am curious to know what the hell Materazzi said to Zidane.. definetly Zidane understand Italian!!

I was in London last night and I COULDN'T BELIEVE the celebration in PICCADILLY, REGENT STREET and SOHO in from of Bar ITALIA!! a duke was there too!!!

Grande..... in four year guys.. I can not imaging what could happen in london if England win the WC....

Your Italian DSC member.........

I did notice that, but obviously there must be no good players anymore.
Well done Italy.

Someone else, somewhere else said this:

Apparently, the word spoken to Zidane is 'Harki'. the word means Algerian French colaborator, and he has headbutted somone before for calling his father a harki

Definitely below the belt - BUT, Zidane is (was) a professional sportsman and this is part of the game. Steve Waugh referred to it as 'mental disintegration'.

He was their chief penalty taker, and wasn't able to participate in the penalty shoot-out to decide the game.

It's easy for me to say that, I know I've had the odd transgression on the playing field ;)

In the words of Roy & HG, "This is the greatest game of football ever!"

If Zidane is going to do something like this, which is always going to result in a red card, why to connect with Materazzi's nose and break it. A headbutt to the chest doesn't achieve anything except getting him red carded.

If it makes you proud to win by cheating your way through the tournament, then fair play to you.

I agree completely. He should have ignored the comment and stuck the ball in the back of the net as a comeback, not deck the guy.

Good game. I think France played better overall, but it's not enough to win a game.

Silly action from Zidane, as Phill mentions it, he should have gone for the nose.
