Albie.... Do it... you won't regret it for a second.. THey are the iconic machine...

IMO, buy a snotter... buy something unloved and make it your own.... get it cheap and make it fantastic....

I spent most of winter taking a snotter (sorry Dave, but it was rough mate ) and modifying it and changing it to improve it lots.....

The difference was amazing in looks and overall performance.... And the pleasure i got from doing the work was superb :)

Yup, times change mate, people change, life changes and circumstances change.... Doesn't make the work i did and the time i spent on it any less worthwhile.

i bought a 2000 748 BP as it was a dream of mine too. I got the BP because i wanted to take the good woman on the back. she likes it but for the odd occassion she comes on the back i do wish a little sometimes i'd gone for a 748s or R.

i think a 748 will be plenty of fun for the roads, there is always the 853 kit if you get bored!

Quite possibly but in a month or nearly 2 probs

It should be available in a couple of weeks, i'll put some pics up once I have swaped the Mag wheels out of it and reftted the original 3 spokes.
Sadly its red so its not my colour

Albie 21-Jul-2006 21:59

But its my colour.lol. Thanks for all the advice. Im taking it all in. It feels strange looking for a bike that is of the same make of my own but i feel I dont know nothing about superbikes. I only owned one faired bike A cracking little Kawa 250 screamer.
