Thought it was suppose to be a power curve not a straight line? Looks good enough for me mate. Nice to see you name dropping at the top of the graph. Glad he is sorting you out. |
Now I know why my 998 feels so good ... ... goes from 60 to 100 bhp between 5,000 and 7,000 - leaves jap 4 cylinders for dead out of corners :D |
So what happens just after 10,ooorpm, is that when the limiter cuts in as it looks as if the power is still increasing. Be interestin to see what power was like at say 10,500 and 11,000 rpm. |

Methinks the rev limiter cuts in at 10500 on the Rev counter , but that could be 10000 on the DYNO clock I dont think he hit the limiter now that i think about it as i was watching him during the run but as it was in a sound proof room i did not hear it though !! |
Anyone done a dyno run on a 998s with Termi`s? and JHP undertank filter system? I would be interested to know. |
Dynoed my 998s with 50mm Akropvic slip ons PC3 and under seat filter if this is helpfull, can post the graph (136 BHP) |
Is that rear wheel BHP, swiss? If it is thats about 143 at the crank. |
Yes, rear wheel and 76 ft lbs of torque, it certainly chewed up the rear tyre on the dyno. What is as important is that they tuned out the torque dip at 4500 rpm which is common to all 998s as well as improved the throttle responce, the bike feels really sharp. Thing is I still get over 130 miles before the fuel light. I would highly recommend a PC3 and set up. I was fortunate to get the set up for free, dynojet had a mobile van for racers at the IOM, they "slipped me in" between races for free |
Seems these new enginges are quite good! |
