If you want to sell drugs or be a pimp go for the beema.
Other wise fly the flag and keep me in a job.

funnily enough I have only heard the gearbox remark once before and that was also from a member of the Constabulary. Are you boys a wee bit rough on them? After all they are built for off roading not racing down motorways and dropping the clutch on a V8, with a certain about of play on the props is always going to invoke a good deal of diff slap, and gear box stress.

Andyb has to have a biggoted narrow minded view of things, its part of the job description...

And the RS4 doesnt convert or go off road.....

MarkyMark76 26-Sep-2006 10:25

The RS4 will convert very very shortly if not already. Yum yum...

Ray 26-Sep-2006 10:50

RR sport is a chelsea tractor it's not meant to go off road unless you count parking on the pavement outside Harvey Nicks:D

It's not as good offroad as the non sport model or a Disco 3.

Diesels I hate 'em...............the M3 runs on petrol get that.

Ray.

Ive done the maths..........apparantly there is an extra inch of willy extention with the BMW......

Still your right yet again, what would i know? If you really want to know how a vehicle goes, ask a hair dresser!

The Audi is the one for me..........

antonye 26-Sep-2006 12:17

I like the look of the Audi but they always have the feel of playing second-fiddle to BMW. Don't know if that's still true or not, though.

For that kind of money I'd be looking for an Aston myself.

Strange - then why aren't you riding Triumph and keeping them chaps in work. Flying the flag is no reason for buying something.

A purchase should be done only on the merit of the product measured by what you expect it to do, vis-a-vié its value when compared to other like products.

Having said that, I wish everyone at LR full and long employment - hopefully the dipsticks at Ford will sell you off to someone sensible like JCB - now that we be a perfect synergy and would also see a LR product back in my garage after an absence of 12yrs.
