I didnt know you had a MGB GT Dave? A collegue I once worked with loved them, he worked at Myra and they got the first ones in to test... Does an XR3 resemble a 'classic' ??? My first car :) I always wanted the Turbo, I'd still have one in white. Andy |

Still got my Jaguar Mk2 3.8 that I bought when I was 21. Been restoring it for more years than I care to remember. Had a few others over the years. S1 e type, Lancia fulvia, Alfa 2600, Triumph Vitesse, Hillman Imp, Jaguar 420G, Jaguar S3 xj6, Volvo Amazon amongst others. I would recommend reading up on any model car you may be interested in an talking to owners clubs etc. Nowadays its best to buy the best example you can find rather than buying a restoration project. Even the nicest cars will usually want bits sorting out but beware the cars that seem ok but want a few "finishing touches" usually these turn into full restoration projects! I have found the hard way that you can basically take what you think it will cost and at least triple it when faced with a car needing a few jobs. What car you thinking of? |
