I say well done Nicky Hayden. He rode hard all season and I think he deserved the world title

900MAN 29-Oct-2006 22:18

Really ****ed that Hayden 'won'
Rossi is such a more talented rider it's a ****take when on the face of it an 'average' rider gets the title.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

900MAN 29-Oct-2006 22:19

In my honest opinion, if that had been Hayden who lowsided into the gravel he'd have done the same as before.... pounded the gravel and cried in his lid. Rossi was trying to get to his feet before he even stopped sliding, got the bike up and went back racing. I know where my respect goes.

It's a shame that an awesome season like we have just seen, has been let down by the best rider who never really makes a mistake. :(
I was gutted for Rossi, I so wanted him to win it, Mr average points finish Hayden has just de-valued this years championship, he didn't win it, he was given it on a plate.

Herb 30-Oct-2006 08:07

I don't think Hayden's win has devalued the championship. I think having the same rider, even one a great as Rossi, win every time devalues it.

Just think how good next season could be now, and how hungry Rossi will be. I think this is good for the sport, especially as we go into the new 800cc era.

I think next season will be close between Rossi, Capirossi and Pedrosa.

The points difference was what 5 points in the end. Exactly the same as the difference between 1st and second. Haydon and Honda owe Elias a VERY large drink......
