Neil - how much for the chip? I have 748E with 45/50 tergis fitted with cheap chip, performance worse than standard, would I be able to fit the FIM in mine? Paul |
Wouldn't work Bradders. What chip have you got? You could do worse than try a JHP or AJRacing eprom. Not much money and work really well. Just make sure you get it setup properly. That's the key in most cases. |
Bradders, Nelly beat me to it, but he's right. No use for your bike I'm afraid. :( |
Fil2, Just been through the Ducati parts catalogue. Part numbers for all the exhaust parts are the same for MY00, MY01 & MY02 which makes them all 45mm. Sounds like someone has fitted a 45-50mm half system - unless you're the first owner in which case speak to the dealer and see if they fitted it. Are you talking about carbon or Ti cans or are they standard aluminium ones? |
Carbon cans............ Looked again .. they are deffo bigger than the 45mm i had on the S.... oh well .... whatever thay are they sound Awesome a much deeer thump than on the S...........mmmmmm I love my R..... |
Is there confusion here between the diameter of the can outlet and the diameter of the exhaust pipes in the balance pipes/before they go in to cans?? i.e. 45 mil before the cans or in the balance pipes then 50mm outlet on the cans. Ray |
I bought my 748R from pro twins, new in Feb 02. 45 mm cans fitted, with FREEBIE 50 mm in a box, & balance pipe. This is a factory gift not a dealer thing. At the request of Pro Twins it left their shop with the 45's fitted and got the 50's as soon as i got home. This may not have been available as a freebie on the '00 or '01 bikes, and therefore some customers would not have paid out to do it straight off. |
