Yup,just undo the four 5mm allen bolts and remove the outer cover. Then undo the six 4mm bolts that secure the caps and springs.
If you take the pressure plate off, make sure you fit it back in the correct place. One of the bolt posts has a notch in it and the plate has an arrow stamped on it.These should line up.

Vented cover and preasure plate are DP items, springs are Casoli (I think!) and the socket head cap screws are jusr normal A4 stainles whilst the spring caps were made up where I work by a magic chap called mike who is always making one offs for me.

Thanks Bob

Thats the look I want but don't really want a slipper clutch,

Do the spring caps show much if they were not changed, would you be able to see them if they were rusty?

I was thinking of spraying the standard pressure plate. Might be a cheaper option.

Thanks

Like you I did not want to go the slipper clutch route (not just yet anyway). I would advise on a anodised preasure plate as i think you might have problems with paint peeling if you sprayed it.

You would notice the end caps rusty but only when the engine is static.

Why not just save up and waite till you can get an aftermarket preasure plate and do the job correctly, Ducati`s are fine machines and it pains me when I see one thats had corners cut etc.

Your choice

Bob,

How much did you pay for plate and cover inc. vat?

Thanks

At £70 might have a go at painting mine first, sprayed some wheels in the past on my vfr400 it had an 80's rothamans paint scheme and I sprayed the wheels gold looked wicked only chipped off when careless with locks hitting etc.

Thanks

One of my bikes came with a painted one, it hides away behind a standard cover so no one has noticed it is red. It looks as if it done with one of those engine enamel paints.

Thanks Bob

Thats exactly how I want mine to look, would look great on my grey 748s. The red pressure plate matching the red marchesinis.

I also wouldn't mind your rearsets the canbon exhaust cover and the 4-pad calipers:lol::lol::lol:

Just have to start saving now.

Thanks

Lee1980 ;)
