Mav Thanks for the offer, thats really kind. Without wishing to sound remotely ungreatful; whaddya mean provide back up! Ducati's don't break down:o I'd also feel a bit of a cheat coming back in a van, but i'm sure i'm gonna regret that statement. I must be a prize prat for saying that. I'll talk to you closer to the date and see if you're around. Cheers mate. |
I'll pledge £20 for this 3 years ago I was involved in a charity bike run from The Ace Cafe in London which helped raise money for a charity called 'Faculty of Accident and Emergency Medicine' which is based at The Royal college of Surgeons in London. They do research into pioneering surgery for accident victims including motorcyclists. Charity runs always seem to raise moey for children which is a very worthy cause but wouldn't it be nice to raise money for a charity we could all rely on one day? There's also Riders for Health charity another worthy cause Good luck what ever you do, hope you raise lots of money |
Arrrrgh....tried twice to attach this newspaper article about the charity run we did but it didn't like it before! hope it works this time! |
BDG, Post details of the route mate, when yer up here in God's country we'll try and meet up with ya to hand over some readies and a cuppa. Cheers! Scott |
BDG, What with this Motorway bit then especially on a Ducati, you will miss the oppotunity of a life time missing out on some wonderful roads. You're not out to set any records are you, the thought of riding all the Major Motorways of GB is more daunting than running it. It took us 76 hrs non stop but at least we had the wonderful scenery and great roads on route whislt travelling down from North to South. What ever route you plan, plan it well and then enjoy it, you might not want to do it again:lol: Regards Fordie |
Put me down for a tenner BDG...but only if you sponsor me on my parachute jump in the summer! It's to raise money for some playground equipment in our school...And I will be doing a tandem...strapped to one of our kids Dads...whos very nice looking...AND is divorced...about 6ft tall...dark eyes...deep gravelly voice...sigh Oh what was I talking about Oh yeah! Put me down for a tenner wasn't it?;):P |
Lisa - did you know that charity parachute jumps cost the NHS more money than they actually raise in sponsorship becasue so many people get hurt doing them! Just a thought...... |

Am I bothered? Life is too short...PARTY POOPER! AND youz best sponsor me! |
4D.. Not after any records, but think it may appeal more on sponsorship front if done in one go. you do have a point about missing some wonderful roads, fortunately i've done nearly all the route before on various rides, normally trying to avoid motorways. I've got the trip to and from each end to enjoy the more scenic roads. KB sure i'll sponsor you, but just to be evil, £10 if you do it with the dishy guy and £20 if you do it alone or with some horror with bad breath:lol: Its great fun, i'm sure you'll love it. Good on yer. |
Cough...cough... I'll take the tenner! Thanx:lol::lol::lol: Mind you this may well develop into another expensive hobby if I like it!:D |
