The 749 starter will run on with your finger removed from the button.All the button does is send a signal down to the ECU.The starter will continue to turn untill the motor has started.If the motor refuses to start after about 15sec,the ECU shuts down and you have to start the process again.
Its perfectly normal!(on a 749/999!)

cheers keefy, your not the first one to tell me how ever it never did it before I stripped it. so something cant be right, theres me thinking it was me and my wiring :) wonder if the ecu has reprogrammed. any way I will put up with it till I break it that is!
