I always stuck with bt010s on 996s and various R1s Blades etc. Before them it was the bt56ss and before that standard bt56. Never had any problem with them. I don't think they are really any poor tyres nowadays. Fortunatley I have only ever come off a bike twice once on Dunlops and once on Michelins. Even though neither time was really the tyres fault I seem to have avoided them ever since. Will probably end up fitting 010s to my Multistrada when I come to need a pair. I do agree that when 70% worn or so the handling does seem to go off but has it happens gradually you do not notice it so much until you then fit a new pair of 010s and suddenly your bike is transformed and you end up singing the praises of the 010 again. |
Diablos.......:bouncy: Good on wet roads, snowy alpine roads, muddy roads, dry roads and Cadwell Park... Also get good mileage out of them too. 4.5K on the rear on an ST2, 4K on an ST4S. |
Diablo's for me too, 010's suited my R1, but the Diablo's are stunning on the 748. Fitted a new rear recently after a puncture and 10 miles of scrubbing on the tyre the knees were sliding, on a damp road too!!! I'll fall off tomorrow now :o [Edited on 13-5-2004 by Mr_S] |
after reading this topic i have to say ive used 010s and said i would never use anything else, (that was on a honda) then i bought a 748s brand new with dragon evos on it they were brilliant, now can only get diablos and must say they are as good as the evos and will now stick with diablos(for what its worth) |
I've been very happy with 010's, good all round tyre both grip and wear wise, but plan on trying Diablo's next just to see what they're like. |
Well it sounds like I must try some Diablos myself! I forgot bout the dragons I used to run 7 or 8 years ago on a blade They were dragon corsas MTR01/02 or something I can't remember. I do remember they were as grippy as a grippy thing though but terrible mileage. What the Diablos like wear wise compared to 010s? |
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArrrrrrrrrrrrrgh Diablo 010 Best get down to the tyre shop and see what they boy has in! Thanks for the help. Leaning now toeards the Diablos Yours undecided....I think:bouncy: |
And after some Guinness the spelling's gone. good night Vienna:frog: |
If they\'re equally good........ then which is cheapest? :biaggi: |
I got a puncture last week that couldn't be repaired, so had a standard diablo on the back as this is supposed to be less sticky than the standard tyres dragon evos the bike came with new. Seems like the rear diablo is more sticky though:o:o Get a front as soon as funds allow:D:D |
