:lol: Now that was funny! |
I'll nod, but dont the neck fergin hurt at the end of a slightly over the limit (not me orficer, honestly) ride I nod to any two wheels wiff motors, but them on badass harleys seem to ingnore, so when one of them does it to me, i feel guilty for not noddin back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh well, as fleety mac once said well heres to churchills dog rgds a neck throbbin mort:roll::roll: |
I nod, I have even been known to flash. And when there's a scooter less than two foot from the rear of my car, then I give em a friendly squirt with the windscreen wipers - they always wave back at me. |
I'll nod at other sports bikes, but dont bother with couriers/customs/trailees/trikes and the like. And as a scooterer myself, its ok not to nod as frankly theres just so many of the bleeders in town its just a pain.. and theres really not that kind of cameraderee (sp?) amoung the CVT set. ;);) |
I nod to pretty much everyone except the scooters... unless I'm head down and focused in which case I don't... have noticed I don't get so many nods back on the Duc though... still keep nodding though |
Those old enough may remember when you actually waved at fellow bikers- nodding was what policemen on their Velocette LE's used to do. I suspect that nodding has taken over since when you're in the sports bike position its much harder to lift your hand from the bar and then there's the windstream to contend with which is just accentuated by the flow over the fairing! Whatever form the recognition takes, it seems to be only directed at bikes of (say) 500cc and above - anything that looks big enough! One reason why Dukes may get fewer nods is that from the front perspective the bike looks quite small - compare the front image of a Duke to the Hayabusa for example. By the time you've realised its a big bike worthy of nodding, it's too late! [Edited on 17-5-2004 by Eamonn] |

You can get arrested for that! I've found that on the 748 i get nodded at, as much as when on the zzr. Some peeps do nod, some don't, sometimes i forget to nod myself. I find tho, on the whole, harley riders are the worse, followed by the race rep. The street.naked/power bikes seem to always nod. |
