If we are talking about the regulator on a 600Ss it should be a single phase one with the two Yellow wires and look a bit like this one here

I can't recall which fuse is which as with the 5 looms I have modified so far I have done away with the box as well the large connector that joins the front harness to the main harness, Also done away with lighting wires, indicator wires etc

Fuse the red and black to the green, bypass the blue with a spriggot switch, ensuring to insulate both wires at the separation point. Then where the two reds two blacks and the green joined at the socket, black to red and green to one of the pinks. At that point introduce a yellow to bridge the black,green & red to just the black and red, again you could use a restat box for this.

:lol:

Have a fire extinguisher at the ready and wear rubber wellies! :lol:

On the 600Ss when doing away with the front harness the main wires of note that need to be used for the bike to run are

Red/Blue = Starter Solinoid
Brown = Feed to Coils
Red/Black = Feed to Fuel pump

With the Red carrying he 12 Volt from the battery going to the ON/OFF switch then out the otherside to a in line fuse and then connecting to the RED/White, this then splits into two (3 if using a electronic Tacho) with one going to the Red/Black of the fuel pump and the other to the Righthand switch gear on the non common side of the kill switch.

So that when you turn the switch to the run position it puts 12V onto the brown for the coils and also onto the start button, on the otherside of the start button it should go to the Red/blue for the starter solinoid
