Thanks Skids. They have to be 1000ss headers and if that's the case, PM sent. |
They are the ones with the fixed collars where they enter the head and have a pressed steel flange to bolt them on, totaly different to the 900/750/620 supersport and Monster setups |
Good work Skids - you're the man!!! |

Many have now seen my back room in MCN, so just imagine what the garage and workshop are like, its suprises me at times to what I have stored away. |
Anybody going to the Desmo Due awards at Ducati Coventry this coming Saturday afternoon that could possibly pick the headers up from me there and deliver them to Nelly at Cornerspeed. |
Jason, get in touch with Mark (mjbayley) as I know he has a 2-into-1 Termi system from a 1000 Sport that might fit the bill? He was going to use it for a race bike but it didn't fit the engine he now has so he might part with it for some cash, or even to borrow. |

Unfortunately these headers won't fit with a Supersport frame/swingarm/shock arrangement. There was a couple of these on eBay too, but the answer from the experts was "No". Thanks though. |
1 Attachment(s) The headers I have are like these, i'll check the part numbers when I get home they should be 571.1.081.1A 570.1.084.1A for a 2005 & 2006 1000SS/1000DS |
Just checked and the part numbers correspond, although thefeed into the collector box for the rear header pipe is at a different angle to the pic. The pic from the 1000DS Supersport parts PDF is probably updated from a generic pic |
Thanks Skids. It's almost certain these are the right ones then, and certainly the best chance we have. |
