Thanks all for the answers so far. Quote:
I'm not really looking for the best performance just by coating the headers (on my engine, the difference - if any - would be minimal). Maybe zircotec's coating is better if used on more powerfull vehicles... |

Why do you think this would be minimal on the 1000DS engine? Being air cooled I'd say heat dispertion would be a very high priority if you wanted optimum performance from this engine. |
because I never thought that by coating the exhaust headers I could see such a big difference on the actual engine temperature/performance anybody here who has tried both Camcoat and Zircotec?? |
Recently done by Camcoat on the same model. They say it should last for years. Service was very good. http://www.ducati-upnorth.com/forum/...ead.php?t=9569 |
Certainly for race use then heat build up is a real problem for maintaining power and getting rid of it by whatever means possible is a good idea....my 800ss race bike really suffered from it. For road use it just isn't a problem at all and I'd spend my money on other things. |

thanks for the post! Do you have any more pictures of the headers?? Have you installed them already? I picture of them on the bike would be even better! :) |
Might be able to oblige in a day or two. PM me your email & I'll send you them. |

I guess the headers are more visible than I thought: ![]() |
