A 944ssie project on PBMAG forum There is a guy building /built a 944 SSie bike on the PBMAG forum. I think he's Belgian. Has got it to weigh 146kg dry and 98BHP !!! Anyway he runs pod style filter and when asked about it here is his reply and I quote, " Most desmodue racebikes (like the Italian Bike store 2V Demon) I have seen don't run airboxes and ramair-boxes are totally useless because the top speed of these bikes isn't high enough to produce airpressure big enough to give more Hp! The only thing you have to do is fitting a shield behind the oilcooler so the injection doesn't swallow hot air (this costs you 2-3hp)" Here is a link to his pictures, http://www.flickr.com/photos/desmo57/ That's what I'm aiming for with mine. ;-) Laters, Mark |
Nice one, thanks Mark. I'd be interested to know where he got his ally subframe work done. Do you have any contact details at all? |
hallo, i tried the K&N filters on my 944 as well but we never got it running well,i switched then to pipercross foam filters wich worked much better for me. @philic:i met the owner off that SSie last week, yes he is from belgium. i bought a tank cover from him,the work on his bike looks really nice and tidy he is also active on the www.ducati851and888.com forum his nickname there is desmo57 maybe you can contact him true there. henk!!! |
Thanks Henk. I've registered over there and sent desmo57 a message. |
