I'm still interested in the swing arm, I'm looking into other options by only issue with this one is that I'm planning to fit it to a Air cooled motor that only produces around 85 BHP, I trying to find out if this will be to stiff for the bike... |

I be interested to find out what you are planning to do. I am doing a similar project with a 998 frame. Planning to source a Multistrada 1000DS engine + ancilaries (TB, ECU, loom) I would use a 996 swingarm which I understand will be a straight fit. I wanted to use a 999 swingarm initially but I want to be able to swap wheels with my RS bike so single sinder I need and have found an adaptor for big hub wheels to small hub axle. I was tempted to try and fit some S2R monster one as I like the look of them but I think that there might be an issue with the bearings. SS / Monsters have them in the case I believe whereas Superbikes have them in the swingarm. Please let me know what you find out as any infomation is welcome to minimize the agravation of bits not fitting together... |
